Texas LED Lighting Co. partners with electrical contractors, general contractors, lighting maintenance and retrofit companies, retailers, wholesalers, ESCOs, property management and facilities groups, and design-build integrators. Whether you're bidding regular projects or looking to carry our products full-time, we'd like to work with you.
Who Can Apply
Open to any legitimate business that resells or installs lighting. No electrical license required, and no minimum years in business — we care about a valid business today, not your history.
What You'll Need to Open an Account
- Legal business name and a physical business address
- Federal EIN
- Valid resale or sales-tax exemption certificate for your state (Texas Form 01-339 for Texas accounts)
- A business website, or one trade reference
- A signed distributor application
Submit your application, and we'll review and respond within one business day. Approved accounts receive a welcome packet with their pricing tier, price file, and payment setup.
Pricing Tiers

Tier discounts apply to our published site pricing and don't stack with sale pricing — you get whichever is better. Poles and other oversize/freight-heavy items, bundle and clearance SKUs, cut-to-length strip, and certain third-party branded goods are excluded from tier discounts and quoted individually. Any single project over $10,000 is quoted independently — bring us your project for a quote rather than assuming your tier discount is the best price available.
Territory
Distributor appointments are non-exclusive. We do not assign or guarantee territories — an approved distributor may sell anywhere we can ship.
Terms
A simple one-page Distributor Application and Acknowledgment of Terms of Sale, signed once at onboarding — no long-term contract. The relationship continues until either side ends it with 30 days' written notice.
Payment starts as prepay (card, ACH, or wire). Net 30 becomes available on approved credit after a credit application, three orders paid on time, and $5,000 in cumulative purchases. You're free to carry other brands — we don't require exclusivity on your end.
Returns
30 days from delivery, unopened and in original packaging, RMA required, 15% restocking fee. Special-order items and cut-to-length strip are not returnable. Warranty claims are handled separately and aren't subject to the restocking fee.
Support & Marketing
- Spec sheets, installation instructions, and warranty documentation
- Photometric and IES files, plus DLC and ETL listing documentation where available
- Product photography for your own listings and quotes
- Free photometric layout support on projects over $5,000
Trade Plus and above also get a named account contact, co-branded spec sheets and flyers on request, and early notice on closeouts and promotional buys.
Shipping & Fulfillment
- Free standard freight on orders over $2,500 to commercial addresses in the lower 48 ($1,500 at the Wholesale tier)
- Poles and other oversize items are quoted with freight per order
- Local pickup available at our Austin warehouse
- In-stock items ship in 1–2 business days; special-order items typically take 2–4 weeks
- Drop-shipping available — we ship blind, direct to your customer, with your name on the packing slip and no Texas LED branding or pricing anywhere on the paperwork
